Empty Room AC Control
Occupancy detection / AC switches to Eco Mode / Lights turn off
Reduce energy waste without affecting the guest experience — automatically turn off or reduce air conditioning when the room is empty.
How It Works
- 1
Occupancy Detection
The occupancy sensor detects that the room has been empty for a set period of time.
- 2
AC Switches to Eco Mode
The air conditioner automatically switches to Eco Mode and non-essential lighting turns off.
- 3
Guests Return
Normal operation resumes automatically as soon as guests return to the room.
Empty guest rooms are one of the most common sources of wasted energy in a hotel — air conditioners left running at full power in rooms nobody is currently using.
This solution uses a local occupancy sensor and IR controller: once the room has been empty for a set period, the AC automatically switches to Eco Mode and non-essential lighting turns off. As soon as guests return, normal operation resumes immediately. All our solutions work with local control, so no internet connection is required for guest room operation.
